Studio D'Artisan - 14oz "Kurozome" Selvedge Jeans Relaxed Taper - Black
The entire "Kurozome" series was a yes for us. Any garment this black and dyed with a natural process is a yes for us. It is nearly impossible to go this dark with anything but synthetics, but Kyoto Montsuki has found a way to do it with Binroji or Betel nuts. The only way they can accomplish this is by applying layer upon layer of a base dye before the final step which turns it into the deepest hue possible. We've had the G3 fabric (Studios original Toyoda loom fabric, in a few styles now, but it has simply never looked this sleek. It is going to age with a *chef's kiss* level of perfection. The g3 has a gorgeous slubby texture that will show itself in all its glory as the color begins to fade. This series is refined. It's a wonderful sleek alternative to the otherwise earthy and organic feeling of the lineup - all while still being natural.

Fit Notes: These are a trimmer fit, and therefore Tommy needed to go up to a 34 for the pictures. This has now become his typical size from Studio. Nearly anything else fits too small. These have a nice taper through the knee and ankle while having ample roost in the waist and crotch. It just takes sizes up a size or two do get those advantages - which we highly recommend. Tommy is 5'10," 180lbs with a 33-34" waist.
